Responsibilities

Travels throughout the Denver metro area and beyond to serve personal legal process such as subpoenas, summons, asset forfeitures, and legal notices to victims, witnesses, and defendants on cases filed by the District Attorney

Establishes as necessary, the location of persons to be served through standardized procedures (e.g., motor vehicle records, state employment records and utility records)

Locating and serving witnesses and defendants with initiative and creativity are required

Incumbent is responsible for the safe operation of a motor vehicle

Required

One (1) year of public work, in a law enforcement agency, involving giving, receiving, and interpretation of factual data utilizing systems under the scope of law enforcement or any equivalent combination of education or experience

Previous Law Enforcement experience is required, P.O.S.T. certification preferred

A current Concealed Handgun Permit (CHP) in Colorado is required

Must be eighteen (18) years old and not a party to the action

Must possess a valid Colorado Driver's License

Work is located in a standard office environment and involves the use of a motor vehicle

Incumbent may also be required to lift, push or pull materials of up to 50 lbs
