Responsibilities
Lead credit risk assessment and approval for private credit transactions, including LBOs and sponsor-driven financings, in line with established risk appetite
Monitor portfolio exposures across assigned sectors, identifying emerging risks and recommending proactive mitigation strategies
Serve as a senior point of contact for sponsor relationships, corporate counterparties, and internal stakeholders
Provide input on deal structuring, covenant packages, and credit documentation to optimize risk-adjusted returns
Track market conditions, sponsor activity, and sector trends to support forward-looking risk management
Prepare and present detailed credit memos, risk assessments, and portfolio updates to senior risk and investment committees
Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of credit governance frameworks, policies, and reporting standards
Qualification
Required
10+ years of experience in credit risk, private credit, or leveraged finance
Background in private credit platforms, hedge funds, or corporate banking with exposure to sponsor-backed transactions
Strong technical foundation in LBO structures, covenant analysis, and private credit documentation
Advanced financial modeling and credit analysis capabilities
Excellent communication and relationship management skills, with experience engaging senior stakeholders
Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, dynamic investment environment
Preferred
Prior experience serving as a Corporate Credit Officer managing sponsor-driven relationships
Hands-on involvement in private credit underwriting and portfolio management
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks, risk governance standards, and committee-based approval processes
