Bookkeeper
The Satanoff Agency is a locally owned and operated insurance agency in Wayne, Pennsylvania, seeking a Bookkeeper to support day-to-day transactional accounting functions. This role involves managing accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll while ensuring accurate financial record-keeping and compliance with established policies.

Responsibilities
Classify, record, and summarize numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records using agency management accounting software
Establish and maintain relationships with company and vendor payables departments
Prepare and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and/or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting, procedural and regulatory standards
Prepare producer production/compensation reports
Calculate, prepare, and issue bills, invoices, account statements, and other financial statements according to established procedures
Administers and conducts month-end and year-end close and generates reports
Reconciles all cash receipts, bank statements, etc
Enters commission checks, return and additional payments, clients payments, etc
Works with Account Managers/Producers to resolve payment problems and ensure reduced accounts receivables
Manage accounts receivables and payables
Comply with federal, state, and agency policies, procedures and regulations
Execute third party client finance agreements and disburse financed premiums to insurance carriers
Process and issue employee paychecks and statements of earnings and deductions
Sets priorities and manages workflow to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate processing of transactions and other responsibilities
Keeps informed regarding accounting and finance industry information and technology to continuously improve knowledge and stay current. Communicates any new information with management staff
Maintains favorable relationships with carrier and vendor representatives
Open mail for vendor invoices and statements
Interacts with others effectively by utilizing good communications skills; cooperates positively and provides information and guidance, as needed to contribute to the business efforts of the agency
Monitors and maintains team member benefit eligibility timeframes and paperwork
Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned by agency management
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
Previous experience in accounting (preferred)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication
Ability to commute
