IT Field Service Technician
Hemmersbach is a global provider of IT infrastructure services, seeking a dependable and technically skilled IT Field Service Technician to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing hands-on break/fix support and hardware replacements for OEM companies at customer sites.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and repair laptops, desktops, tablets, and workstations
Replace defective components such as motherboards, hard drives, memory, and screens following manufacturer guidelines
Validate warranty status and adhere to repair protocols
Document all repairs accurately in ticketing systems
Track and manage parts logistics
Verify part delivery at pick-up/drop-off locations or customer site before dispatch
Communicate professionally with clients to confirm appointments, explain repairs, and ensure satisfaction
Maintain a clean, professional appearance in line with company standards
Escalate unresolved issues through the appropriate channels promptly
Qualification
Required
Relevant OEM hardware repair certifications (or willingness to obtain)
Strong knowledge of PC hardware architecture and troubleshooting
Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and clean driving record (mileage reimbursed)
Willingness to drive 50-200 miles per day
Exceptional communication skills with a customer-focused approach
Experience using service ticketing systems and mobile device reporting tools
Comfortable lifting and handling equipment up to 50 lbs
Ability to work independently and meet strict SLAs
