Sales Manager

Grow sales over all markets and product disciplines
Develop short- and long-term strategies for growth and sustainability
Maintain strong working relationships with customers, principles and fellow Owner-Associates
Improve sales force effectiveness through the annual sales planning process including periodic review
Develop and implement countermeasures as required where territories are underperforming
Support strategic company initiatives impacting field sale organization, including but not limited to supplier partnership programs, sales promotions, e-commerce, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and integrated solutions
Provide input to division leadership on current market conditions, significant opportunities for growth and changing customer dynamics
Provide leadership in personnel related functions such as recruiting, hiring, evaluation, training, discipline, and termination
Coach, mentor, performance monitoring and support regional sales team/office
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
5 years' experience working with manufacturer in product management, industry vertical or direct/indirect sales management role or 2 years' experience managing people or demonstrating leadership abilities
Bachelor's degree
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite; knowledge of industry-specific products and tools relevant to the role
Highly organized and detail-oriented; ability to multi-task and shift priorities as needed; ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills
Excellent presentation skills and ability to communicate to all levels of the organization; above average communication and negotiation skills
Up to 30% travel including overnights
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license
Ability to see, talk and hear
Ability to sit for 8 hours a day
Preferred
10 years' experience working with manufacturer in product management, industry vertical or direct sales management role
Bachelor's degree in engineering or business
