Responsibilities
Successfully launch critical power infrastructure products that meet customer requirements and Eaton safety, quality, reliability, cost and schedule commitments
Work with cross-functional engineering team to design and develop new products including SiC three-phase UPS's from 20kW to 2.5MW and Lithium Ion 1MW and larger energy storage systems for maintaining critical loads such as datacenters and hospitals
Work with global product development teams to solve problems related to performance, functionality, safety, reliability, quality and component availability
Support product DVT and validation testing in the lab with a team of engineers and technicians
Support prototype build, testing and delivery of products to the customer
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution with minimum two (2) years work experience in power electronics (circuit design or schematic capture, PCB layout, circuit review or circuit analysis)
OR a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution with a minimum of one (1) year work experience in power electronics (circuit design or schematic capture, PCB layout, circuit review or circuit analysis)
Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future. Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position
Preferred
Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
Experience with Inverter theory/knowledge, knowledge battery systems and protective devices including power distribution
Knowledge of three-phase power systems, power electronics, and power conversion topologies
