Director of Group Sales
Arlo Hotels is an independent lifestyle hotel seeking a dynamic Director of Group Sales. This role is responsible for spearheading the group sales strategy and generating significant revenue from key group segments, while leading the sales team to progress the brand's financial and customer metrics.

Responsibilities
Lead and generate new business opportunities, drive pricing, direct sales, and results for the designated accounts and market segment
Accountable to accounts' potential performance as well as budget, forecast, and individual and team's target goals; prepare, implement and compile data for strategic sales plan as needed
Plan and execute sales missions aligned with the sales & marketing plan as well as key partners on co-op initiatives and strategies
Build and maintain strong relationships with travel managers responsible for hotel bookings in the DC market
Demonstrate continuous self-leadership and activities to become a leader in the hotel and the DC market
Capitalize on the hotel’s strengths and overcome any gaps to maximize sales
Utilize creative thinking and propose ideas to uncover new business opportunities
Proactively lead and generate new business opportunities via online and in-person meetings
Work closely with the corporate sales and revenue team to garner greater than the hotel’s fair share of business travel
Attend local and regional industry sales trade shows and events ensuring impactful meetings with key decision makers
Host familiarization trips and events at the hotel
Set annual revenue budgets, monthly forecasts, and other individual goals
Utilize business intelligence and lead generation tools such as Ageny360, Demand360 and ZoomInfo to monitor results and generate new business opportunities
Monitor the performance of individual accounts and continuously seek ways to increase production
Provide monthly production and activity reports
Conduct agency and corporate presentations, meetings, site tours, and client events
Ensure RFPs are submitted accurately and in a timely fashion
Perform other tasks or projects as assigned and needed by the Head of Sales
Qualification
Required
University or college degree from an accredited institution
2+ years Sales Manager Experience
Basic computer skills and knowledge of various computer software, including strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and other hotel systems
Experience in Delphi Cloud or other sales CRM
Experience in Agency 360 and other TravelClick/Amadeus products
Positive, enthusiastic approach

Experience in Opera Cloud preferred
