Responsibilities

Oversees installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting, of all networks, servers, and cloud infrastructure components

Implements and maintains best practices configurations with a focus around high availability, zero trust security, and least privileged access

Collaborates with team members to provide full oversight of all enterprise systems

Collaborates with technicians and helpdesk employees to ensure knowledge transfer, training and adequate customer service is provided to stakeholders and end-users

Maintains relationships and negotiates with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure and maintain infrastructure and

Researches, evaluates, and implements technologies that align with the business needs and compliance standards of the organization

Conducts research on emerging products, services, protocols, and standards in support of infrastructure procurement and development

Leads technical requirements and implementation efforts for organization-wide projects

Manages, monitors, and maintains servers (virtual, physical and cloud), and their associated operating systems and

Manages, monitors, and maintains all network infrastructure including routers, switches, wireless, and cloud components

Monitors the daily server and storage area network backups and replication at all CU facilities

Understands offsite business continuity and disaster recovery strategy

Assesses and mitigates vulnerabilities and risks on all systems and endpoints through update and patching strategy

Ensures policy enforcement is holistic in both cloud and on-prem environments

Administers and maintains end user accounts, permissions, and access

Oversees security hardware and software including anti-virus and encryption solutions

Assists various departments when end-user hardware/software problems require advanced knowledge (level 2 support)

Develops, provides and updates documentation for departmental, auditing, and compliance obligations
