Responsibilities

Assist an assigned attorney in all phases of residential real estate transactions for buyers and sellers

Communicate professionally with clients, real estate agents, lenders, title companies, and other law offices

Draft, review, and prepare transaction documents, including contract packages, addendums, riders, closing documents, and correspondence

Track contingency dates, maintain organized files, and ensure that all deadlines and requirements are met

Coordinate with title companies for searches, clearing title issues, and preparing files for closing

Guide clients through the process, providing updates and ensuring they understand each stage of their transaction

Manage scheduling of closings, file follow-up, and post-closing documentation

Maintain accurate records and compliance with firm procedures

Required

Prior experience as a Real Estate Paralegal in New York is strongly preferred

Strong understanding of New York residential real estate transaction processes

Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple active files

Professional and clear communication skills—written and verbal

Ability to work efficiently and maintain composure in a deadline-driven environment

Proficiency with standard office applications and real estate closing software

Preferred

Familiarity with TRID guidelines, escrow procedures, and post-closing workflows

Prior work with lenders, title agents, or real estate law firms in New York
