Responsibilities

Builds strong affinity with customer. Primary customer interface, typically program management, engineering, and procurement agents
Initial responsibilities will be 75% focused on ensuring excellence in aircraft delivery support and quality. The remaining 25% will be focused on full responsibility for executing small to medium develop programs
Has understanding of systems engineering concepts, manufacturing processes, customer support, decision point processes and engineering processes
May prepare pursuit and order capture strategies including most important requirements, competitive face-off, customer contact plans and related action planning
Develops solutions to a variety of complex problems. May refer to established precedents and policies. Exerts some influence on the overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve objectives would normally have a significant effect upon the administration of the organization
Strong understanding of the industry and customer
Responsible for managing a program which is of moderate levels of risk and complexity
Plans, directs and monitors program budget and serves as primary customer contact for program information. Has responsibility for profit/loss of the program
Ensures that all required resources such as engineering, engineering support, production, services, facilities and the like are available for the program
Responsible for meeting program budget and schedule
Has primary responsibility for program growth, may be responsible for marketing new technology or follow-on business
Responsible for risk management of existing products and large development programs
Works with minimal supervision / oversight. Supports program status reviews to executive level as needed

Required

Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
Travel required ~25%

Preferred

Preferred candidate will have experience working directly with customers and possess a strong development background, engineering and execution experience
Previous experience in program, product LCVSM, or TPM
Understanding of avionics system engineering
