Responsibilities
Lead inmate crews in essential building maintenance and trades
Oversee inmate work crews and the performance of various maintenance, repair, construction, groundskeeping, and janitorial tasks within and around the facility
Perform or assist with semi-skilled and skilled journey-level work in one or more trades
Issue and inventory all materials and tools used for work assignments
Conduct searches of inmates and work areas to ensure accountability
Determine the materials and tools needed for future assignments
Submit purchase requests for any necessary materials and tools
Qualification
Required
Four years of experience performing building maintenance, construction, or general trades work; or an equivalent combination of experience and training
Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required
You must be able to perform essential job functions
You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements
