Assistant Professor of Practice, Public Relations (Department of Communications) (Career-Track)

The University of Arizona's Department of Communication is seeking applications for a career-track Assistant Professor of Practice position in Public Relations. The successful candidate will contribute to the teaching mission by instructing both introductory and advanced PR classes, and will have training and experience in Public Relations instruction.

Responsibilities

Contribute to the department’s teaching mission in the new PR Major and the existing PR Minor
Teach both introductory and advanced PR classes, such as PR Writing, Social Media Strategy and PR Management

Qualification

Public RelationsTeaching ExcellenceCurriculum DesignMentoringIndustry Experience

Required

Master's degree in the field of PR or related discipline
Evidence of teaching excellence, or strong industry experience

Preferred

Experience in developing PR classes and/or curriculum design
Experience and desire to work with student professional organizations
Mentoring experience
Training and experience in the instruction of Public Relations
