Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking interns to join our Highway Engineering team in Toledo, OH for Fall 2026. This role involves assisting project engineers with engineering calculations, drafting plans, and collaborating with technical staff to complete client work while gaining real-life experience in consulting.

Responsibilities

Assist project engineer to perform engineering calculations

Draft engineering plans by CADD programs following project engineer’s directions

Address project engineer’s plan review comments

Collaborate with technical and design staff to complete billable real-time client work

Work alongside junior and senior level engineers to execute project deadlines

Network with current Colliers Engineering & Design professionals and gain real-life experience in consulting

Work across multiple disciplines with other interns and professional staff

In addition to the work-centered program, we also offer robust internship programming, which includes opportunities to work with other interns, learn about other areas of the business, and develop valuable communication skills and networking connections

Qualification

CADD program experienceTransportation Engineering IIMotivatedEnglish proficiencyCommunication skillsFast-paced environment

Required

Currently enrolled in a related-engineering program from a university or college physically located in the United States

Must be eligible to work in the U.S

Highly motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment

Ability to read, write, and understand English for the purpose of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions

Preferred

CADD program (AutoCAD or Microstation) experience is preferred

Transportation Engineering II is a plus

Prior internship experience and great communication skills is a plus
