Responsibilities
Transport residents to medical appointments, treatments, transfers, and activities
Pick up and deliver materials, mail, supplies, medications, and blood samples
Move materials for construction, groundskeeping, or general maintenance
Operate snow-removal and cinder-spreading equipment during inclement weather
Conduct safety checks and inspections on vehicles and equipment before use
Handle minor repairs and preventive maintenance
Assist with support tasks such as loading and unloading vehicles, cleaning work areas, maintaining equipment-use records and logs, and completing required forms and paperwork
Qualification
Required
Six months experience in the operation and maintenance of large vans, buses and single-chassis trucks with a gross vehicle weight of 10,001 pounds or more; or any equivalent combination of experience and training
You must possess a valid Class C Pennsylvania driver's license
You must be able to perform essential job functions
A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination
This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance
