Responsibilities
Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of our laboratory operations platform from the ground up, aiming for global-tier operational efficiency
Develop AI-native applications using React and TypeScript, ensuring high-quality frontend and backend integration
Drive UI/UX excellence by maintaining close communication with lab personnel, gathering direct feedback, and rapidly iterating on product usability
Establish quality management systems and technical workflows required for CLIA certification
Architect a scalable platform model based on our internal lab operations to enable future service expansion to external partners
Serve as a technical leader and mentor, guiding engineers through design reviews and complex problem-solving
Identify and resolve technical debt while balancing short-term delivery and long-term platform health
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
8+ years of experience in software engineering roles
Expert-level proficiency in React and TypeScript across the entire application stack
Strong proficiency in one or more backend languages (e.g., Python, Java, Scala)
Proven experience in designing production-grade systems with a high focus on UI/UX and user-centric design
Ability to work in a 'forward-deployed' manner—directly engaging with end-users to define requirements
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to bridge technical and scientific domains
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving startup environment
Preferred
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience supporting analytics, ML, or scientific data pipelines
Background in regulated environments (e.g., healthcare, finance, diagnostics) is a plus
