Responsibilities

Establish and maintain laboratory methods, product certifications, and ensure compliance with applicable government and customer regulations
Analyze and resolve product issues between suppliers and customers, prioritizing actions based on severity, risk, and customer impact
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support quality planning during new product development and provide post-SOP quality support
Create and maintain control plans, inspection instructions, PPAP documentation, and ISIR data approvals
Implement warranty reduction initiatives and provide certification and validation for new gages and quality equipment
Lead root cause analysis and corrective action activities using structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone)
Monitor, analyze, and report quality performance metrics and trends to drive continuous improvement and sustained compliance

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
3+ years in quality roles within automotive production
Proficient in Statistical Process Control (SPC)
Geometric tolerancing
Blueprint reading
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Experience performing process capability and laboratory tests
Team-oriented mindset

Preferred

Certified Quality Engineer
Knowledge of FMVSS/ECE certification
Laboratory operation (A2LA)
Metrology
CMM
Knowledge of automotive glass and glass lamination processes
