Computer Desktop/Helpdesk Support Specialist (Midtown Manhattan -Hybrid)

Responsibilities

Provide first- and second-level technical support to clients via phone, email, remote tools
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to desktops, laptops, operating systems, and standard business applications
Support and maintain Lotus Notes environments, including user access and basic troubleshooting
Administer and support Microsoft Office 365, including Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint
Install, configure, and maintain desktop and laptop hardware and software
Perform basic server support, including user account management, permissions, and routine maintenance
Troubleshoot basic networking issues, including connectivity, LAN/WAN, VPNs, and Wi Fi
Install, configure, and troubleshoot printers and multifunction devices
Document incidents, service requests, and resolutions in a ticketing system
Escalate complex issues to higher-level support or vendors as needed
Follow IT policies, procedures, and security best practices
Assist with onboarding/offboarding of users and equipment setup

Required

Proven experience in a Help Desk, Client Support, or Technical Support role
Experience supporting Lotus Notes
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
Hands-on experience with desktop and laptop hardware (Windows and/or macOS)
Basic server administration experience (Windows Server preferred)
Fundamental understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
Experience supporting printers and peripheral devices
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

Preferred

IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, etc.)
Experience with remote support tools and ticketing systems
Knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy
Experience in a corporate or managed services environment
