Responsibilities
Develop, enhance, and maintain Appian applications, including interfaces, process flows, records, reports, and integrations
Lead a team of developers through the full software development lifecycle: requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance
Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and guide the team in following best practices and coding standards
Implement and oversee DevSecOps practices to automate testing, security scans, and deployment pipelines
Provide high-level architectural expertise and ensure solutions adhere to DOL’s enterprise architecture and relevant compliance (FISMA, FedRAMP)
Collaborate with the business analyst and scrum master to refine user stories, acceptance criteria, and ensure feasible development timelines
Coordinate security assessments, prepare documentation for audits, and resolve vulnerabilities within established timelines
Qualification
Required
Hands-on Appian application development experience
In-depth knowledge of Appian design objects, integrations, process models, and best practices
Experience leading a team of developers through the full software development lifecycle
Ability to conduct code reviews and troubleshoot complex technical issues
Experience implementing and overseeing DevSecOps practices
High-level architectural expertise
Knowledge of DOL's enterprise architecture and relevant compliance (FISMA, FedRAMP)
Experience collaborating with business analysts and scrum masters
Ability to coordinate security assessments and prepare documentation for audits
