Responsibilities
Operate and maintain extrusion machines, selecting and replacing dies as needed
Set up procedures and adjust controls for vacuum, air pressure, sizing, and temperature
Monitor and synchronize extrusion speed to ensure proper operation
Inspect products for defects and ensure conformance to specifications
Read and interpret blueprints and drawings for accurate production
Install, connect, test, and adjust equipment as necessary
Handle reels, specify roll lengths and weights, and seal splices with moisture-proof covering
Remove excess, entangled, or completed filaments from machines
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace by following established procedures
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma/GED
Must have attention to detail and accuracy
Demonstrate a strong work ethic, self-motivation, attention to detail, and be able to manage multiple projects
Ability to learn technical material
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages
