Responsibilities
Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes
Produces engineering documentation, reports, drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics)
Performs detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas; preliminary analyses of data where guidelines are provided in such areas as trajectory adequacy, model dimensional consistency; and quantitative judgments concerning technical data
Uses personal computer in performance of analyses and development of documentation/reports
May conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited program
0 years of relevant professional/exempt experience for Engineering Test Operations 1
2 years of relevant professional/exempt experience for Engineering Test Operations 2
Experience in reading and interpreting Engineering Drawings and Schematics
Ability to work in a team environment planning and coordinating with other functional departments across a wide range of disciplines
Great communication, organizational and computer skills
Must be a US citizen
Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Security Clearance
Preferred
Shipyard or US Navy A4W propulsion and/or reactor plant construction, operation, and/or maintenance experience
Working knowledge of shipyard work controls processes to include proficiency with Electronic Shift Operating Management System (eSOMS)
Active Confidential DOD Security Clearance
