Senior Financial Analyst

Cleveland-Cliffs has an immediate opening for a Senior Financial Analyst at their Corporate Headquarters. This role is responsible for gathering, preparing, analyzing, and reporting on financial results, developing budgets and forecasts, and supporting various corporate departments.

Responsibilities

Deliver monthly performance reports, including analysis of operational and financial KPIs
Prepare and review financial statements and management reports for accuracy, consistency, and completeness
Develop budgets and forecasts, including full financial statements and presentations
Assist with month-end close and consolidation process, including journal entries, eliminations, internal transfers and account reconciliations
Perform product inventory accounting, reconciliations, and reporting
Prepare/analyze capital reporting and manage project approval process
Assist and provide information to support internal and external audits and tax preparation
Prepare quarterly and year-end financial reporting schedules in support of the Company’s quarterly and annual reports
Perform ad-hoc analysis, reporting, and special projects as requested
Other duties as assigned

Required

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and modelling skills
Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
Proficiency in translating complex information into understandable reports
Attention to detail
Identifies and recommends areas of continuous improvement and/or waste elimination
Establish high-performance standards and set goals to attain them
Take initiative and demonstrate commitment to the organization's professional management
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Computer skills to effectively use software to analyze financial information, identify trends, and make forecasts
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; skillset in Hyperion, Ellipse, and Power BI a plus
Minimum bachelor's degree in accounting/finance
Applicants for this position must be currently legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

Preferred

CPA or equivalent certification preferred
3-5 years of public accounting and/or private industry experience with knowledge of accounting, finance, and internal control areas
