Responsibilities

Own strategy and vision for GM Energy’s procurement, partnerships, and end-to-end supply chain and execute plans, ensure compliance, and deliver on KPI’s to GM Energy Leadership
Lead a team of managers and team members to drive strategy aligned with GM Energy goals and objectives, communicating a clear vision that inspires and empowers team to execute while simultaneously providing guidance, mentorship, and support to drive upskilled performance and career development
Build and maintain internal relationships by fostering connections beyond the immediate team, effectively bridging gaps and integrating diverse perspectives to drive collective success while understanding functional team needs
Manage supplier and partnership relationships with an eye on identifying and executing innovation opportunities, cost savings, and resolving commercial and supply chain issues
Optimize and drive operational plans and forecast to achieve inventory, order, and forecasting metrics and understand complex supply chain challenges to prevent customer impacts
Foster an environment for high-performing team dynamics, balancing of team capability, and identification and problem-solving of gaps
Lead with influence and identify opportunities to drive impactful changes in GM Energy that create value for the business and our customers
Oversee the day-to-day forecasting, planning, management, contract negotiation, sourcing, and partnership recommendations and implementation of all projects and strategies to reach overall GM Energy targets
Monitor and remain current on electric vehicle, energy, and V2X industry trends as well as the latest supply chain and partnership trends and channel knowledge to both decision making and further educating team

Required

A minimum of 10 years relevant experience
Experience in automotive, energy, or electrical industry
Experience in people leadership of medium to large teams and a desire to help others shine. You stay calm under pressure, move fast, and are passionate about what you do
Excellent judgment — you know how to plan to avoid a crisis and when to escalate issues
Ability to develop relationships and influence executives. Ideally you have experience navigating a complex organization and a start-up culture
A passion for innovation and continuous improvement and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and requirements
Demonstrated ability to understand, negotiate, and execute contracts and comprehend legal implications to both parties
Bachelor's degree (required) in a business or technical field

Preferred

Master's or advanced degree in supply chain or business preferred
