Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end tax operations, including indirect tax, income tax and VAT
Partner with Sales Ops, Rev Ops, Engineering, and Product on pricing, billing workflows, and new product launches
Manage tax implications for new products, geographies, and deal structures
Ensure timely tax filings, remittances, and reconciliations with accounting systems
Maintain accurate tax rules in billing systems and ensure audit readiness
Monitor changes in tax regulations across jurisdictions and implement updates in systems and processes
Establish and maintain internal controls over billing, taxation, and system changes
Collaborate with Accounting to ensure accurate revenue recognition and tax reporting
Ensure invoicing, system configurations, and tax treatments adhere to global and local regulatory requirements
Manage the configuration, governance, and process integrity of finance systems
Lead enhancements to billing, invoicing, taxation, and revenue workflows
Manage the implementation of new finance system upgrades, integrations, and automation
Provide guidance on taxability, invoicing structure, and revenue implications for nonstandard deals
Act as an escalation point for complex billing, tax, and system issues
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
5+ years of experience in tax operations or compliance
Experience with US tax regulations, Nexus rules, and cross-border compliance
Ability to interpret contracts and assess revenue/tax implications
Strong understanding of local indirect taxes (sales tax and Nexus) and income taxes
Familiarity of the order-to-cash process, revenue recognition and audit compliance
Experience with Zuora, ERP SAP, and Avalara
Experience in SaaS, technology, or multi-entity environments
Prior involvement in system implementations, automation, or process improvements
