Responsibilities

Lead the sales and marketing efforts for Harris Supply Solutions Inc in Houston / San Antonio - and surrounding markets
Responsible for the entire sales process from the initial quote to the final invoice
Develop new business and manage day-to-day business functions
Local travel to visit customers and operational parts of the business is required
Develop relationships with the Nucor Bar Mills in the region

Required

Must live in market and be able to travel
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to successfully present ideas, negotiate, lead meetings, and articulate presentations
Strong leadership/interpersonal skills; developing relationships built on trust and respect. The Ability to support change and willingness to face adversity and conflict
General business knowledge and an understanding of how Nucor makes money
Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one
Working as part of a coordinated effort with others to achieve a common goal. Able to deliver commercial updates to the Sales team regarding the specific territory/market
Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes the ability to gather data, necessary to make strategic decisions
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. This also includes ability to effectively anticipate and meet customer needs and the ability to adjust approach based on the situation
Being proactive with seeking out work that needs to be done and being willing to take on responsibilities and challenges
