Responsibilities
Integrate code into GitHub/GitLab and support CI/CD practices
Diagnose data gaps and quality issues and design test cases for validation
Collaborate with developers and analysts to synchronize code and ensure reliability
Lead end‑to‑end UX design for data products, including research, wireframes, prototypes, and high‑fidelity UI
Conduct user interviews, usability testing, and workflow analysis with operational Coast Guard users
Develop and maintain design systems, component libraries, and accessibility standards
Create intuitive dashboards and data visualizations that support operational decision‑making
Collaborate with product managers, data engineers, and cloud teams to ensure design feasibility and alignment with technical constraints
Translate mission needs into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and UX documentation
Present design concepts and findings to senior leadership and cross‑functional teams
Ensure all designs comply with DHS/USCG accessibility, security, and branding requirements
Support continuous improvement of the user experience across multiple product lines
Qualification
Required
Active Secret Clearance
Experience as a Mid-Level UI/UX Developer
Ability to design intuitive, accessible, and mission-ready user experiences
Experience with human-centered design and data visualization
Proficiency in modern interface development
Experience integrating code into GitHub/GitLab and supporting CI/CD practices
Ability to diagnose data gaps and quality issues and design test cases for validation
Experience collaborating with developers and analysts to synchronize code and ensure reliability
Experience leading end-to-end UX design for data products, including research, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI
Experience conducting user interviews, usability testing, and workflow analysis
Ability to develop and maintain design systems, component libraries, and accessibility standards
Experience creating intuitive dashboards and data visualizations
Ability to collaborate with product managers, data engineers, and cloud teams
Ability to translate mission needs into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and UX documentation
