Quality Assurance Technician - 3rd Shift - 11:45 p.m. - 08:15 a.m.
C.H. Guenther is a company focused on ensuring the safety and quality of food products. They are seeking a Quality Assurance Technician who will conduct inspections, tests, and audits throughout the production process to uphold standards of excellence.
Food Production
Responsibilities
Perform routine inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure adherence to quality specifications and regulatory requirements
Maintain thorough and accurate records of inspection and testing activities, including test results, deviations, and corrective actions taken. Complete all necessary paperwork in a timely manner
Monitor critical control points and production parameters to identify and address deviations from established standards. Collaborate with production personnel to implement corrective actions as needed
Verify that equipment, facilities, and personnel adhere to sanitation standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Report any sanitation issues or concerns to the appropriate personnel
Assist in the audits and maintenance of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) plans. Participate in HACCP meetings and help identify potential hazards and control measures
Identify opportunities for process improvements and participate in quality-related projects and initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review best practices and drive continuous quality improvement
Provide training to production personnel on quality standards, procedures, and best practices. Foster a culture of quality and compliance throughout the organization
Flexibility to work overtime and non-standard hours as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Perform all other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED; post-secondary education is preferred
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Knowledge of food safety regulations (FSA, USDA) and quality assurance practices (GMPs)
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and procedures accurately
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy objects as required in the production process
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Flexibility to work overtime and non-standard hours as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
