Insurance Compliance Specialist

Weidner Apartment Homes is seeking an Insurance Compliance Specialist to join their Risk Management department. The role involves managing resident renters’ insurance documentation, performing data entry, and reconciling monthly insurance premium reports while providing excellent customer service to residents and vendors.

Responsibilities

Process and validate non preferred provider evidence of insurance
Review, input and update data and tracking items in Yardi
Attach evidence of insurance documentation into Yardi software system
Communicate via email with Weidner properties on non-compliance documentation
Generate, analyze and reconcile monthly insurance policy premium collection to U.S. & Canada vendor reports
Work with preferred tenant insurance providers on resident enrollment and disenrollment as needed
Work with preferred tenant insurance providers to add acquired communities
Track compliance to resident insurance leasing requirements for US & CAN; Publish results along with monthly Scorecard to Management
Act as liaison with Realty Assurance Captive manager for monthly bookkeeping; Review bank account reconciliation
Actively participate in a positive team environment through teamwork, communication and excellence in service; communicate regularly with the Risk Management Specialist
Actively demonstrate the values of the Weidner Customer Service Vision to team members, associates and external customers

Proactive approach to learning, problem-solving, and asking questions; Ability to analyze data
Experienced in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft products required (Word, PowerPoint and Outlook); Willing and able to learn new software programs
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong motivation to learn & contribute on a daily basis
Able to give professional directions clearly in person, over the phone, email, and text
Follow Weidner's Mission, Vision and Values and comply with all Weidner policies and procedures as well as all Fair Housing, local, state/province, and federal laws
Prompt, regular attendance; wear company dress code / uniform & maintain professional appearance at all times
Work effectively and cooperatively in a team environment and/or independently
Ability to work outside of normal scheduled hours, when necessary
Ability to work 5 days a week in the Kirkland home office
Must agree to a criminal background check and sign an agreement for voluntary drug testing
Valid and current driver's license, vehicle and vehicle insurance

Preferred

Proficiency with ten key is a plus
