Responsibilities

Serve As The Technical Authority For The ServiceNow Enterprise Platform Architecture, Ensuring N-2 Version Currency, Optimal Performance, Security Compliance, And Strategic Alignment With Customer Modernization Goals Across 17+ Applications And Multiple Production Instances
Own the technical architecture for production platform and CI segregated instance
Design and validate integration patterns for third-party system connections
Lead annual platform upgrade planning and execution (currently Vancouver → Xanadu)
Conduct ServiceNow health assessments and remediation planning (maintain 91+ score)
Develop data architecture models based on ServiceNow best practices
Ensure CMDB accuracy and discovery dependency mapping
Collaborate with customer Enterprise Architecture on cloud security packages
Provide technical oversight for citizen development initiatives
Design solutions that maximize out-of-the-box (OOB) functionality
Review and approve all custom code and configurations for platform integrity

Required

Must pass Federal Background Investigation (MBI) / Moderate Risk Level Tier 2, Public Trust required
Must be U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident with a minimum of 3 consecutive years of U.S. residency from date of legal entry
Must pass federal tax compliance screening
Minimum 7 years ServiceNow/Enterprise Service Management architecture experience
Minimum 2 years in Federal government environments
Must have verifiable recent (within past 3 years) hands-on experience delivering enterprise service management solutions in the IRS operational environment or an equivalent federal environment of comparable scale, governance, and compliance complexity
Prior ownership of multi-module ServiceNow architectures maintained at n-2 currency
Proven experience with IT Operations Management (ITOM) implementations and Network Operations Center (NOC) environments
ServiceNow ITOM (Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management)
CSDM/CMDB strategy and implementation
Integration architecture patterns (REST, SOAP, MID Servers)
Platform upgrade strategy and execution
Performance optimization and availability management
Security architecture (RBAC, encryption, data segregation)
Required Certification: ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA)
