Responsibilities
Manage the transfer of manufacturing processes between locations, ensuring continuity of production and minimal disruption
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and project milestones
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Quality Assurance, Regulatory, Supply Planning, Procurement, Production, and external suppliers
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and product quality
Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies
Monitor, track, and report project progress, proactively addressing deviations from the plan
Resolve technical and logistical challenges that arise during the transfer to avoid delays and maintain production continuity
Prepare comprehensive documentation and provide training to enable the receiving site to effectively operate transferred processes
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in new product development or product transfer within a regulated industry (medical device industry preferred)
Hands-on experience with medical device manufacturing methods is highly desirable
Strong understanding of inspection techniques, gauging methods, and quality systems
Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and multi-disciplinary teams
Proven ability to build productive internal and external relationships
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Capable of completing assignments with general direction and periodic mentorship
Ability to understand technical challenges and develop appropriate solutions within scope of responsibility
Strong problem-solving and process optimization skills
Preferred
Basic knowledge of operations deliverables and manufacturing documentation is preferred
Knowledge of GD&T is considered a plus
