Responsibilities

Conducts client interviews and intake assessments to determine offender risk, needs, and program eligibility
Provides life skills and job readiness support, including resume development, budgeting education, and interview preparation
Assists probation officers with supervision of offenders, including explaining court-ordered conditions and monitoring compliance
Reviews and interprets court documents, probation conditions, and legal requirements for offenders
Collects and documents urine analysis testing or breathalyzer samples when required
Monitors compliance with court orders and probation conditions and documents case activity
Coordinates with internal departments and external agencies, including law enforcement, courts, providers, and community resources
Opens, closes, and maintains case files; collects and processes information through criminal justice data systems
Prepares, reviews, edits, verifies, and maintains confidential reports, correspondence, forms, and records
Enters and updates case information in databases and online systems; resolves discrepancies and ensures accuracy
Assists probation officers in facilitating cognitive groups and maintaining related documentation
Conducts trainings related to systems, procedures, and documentation; may assist in creating training manuals
Supervises low-risk and administrative caseloads as assigned
Testifies in court when required
Performs special projects and other duties of a similar nature or level as assigned
May be required to work nontraditional hours

Required

High school diploma or G.E.D. required

Preferred

Two (2) years of law enforcement, corrections, or related experience preferred
Associate's degree in law enforcement or a related field preferred
