Financial Recovery & Support Specialist - Statewide
The State of Maine's Department of Labor is seeking a Financial Recovery and Support Specialist to join their Benefit Recovery Team. This role involves safeguarding Maine’s Unemployment Insurance Trust Fund by recovering improperly paid benefits and requires strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities
Respond to claimant inquiries about overpayments and guide them through the repayment process
Process payments made by check, debit, or credit card
Review and verify the accuracy of the previous day’s payment register
Set up and manage wage garnishments as required
Collaborate with the Team Leader to process refunds accurately
Cancel and reissue payments when necessary to ensure proper delivery
Partner with Unemployment Call Center staff to troubleshoot and resolve claimant concerns
