Responsibilities

Control System Design: Design, develop, and implement control systems for manufacturing equipment and processes, utilizing Allen Bradley, Siemens PLC and other platforms

Programming: Write, debug, and modify PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) code for control systems to optimize production efficiency and quality

HMI Development: Create Human-Machine Interface (HMI) applications for monitoring and controlling machinery

Data Integration – Set up data collection and historians

Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve electrical and automation-related issues in a timely manner to minimize production downtime

Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate control systems with other manufacturing equipment and systems, ensuring seamless production flow

Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of control system designs, modifications, and troubleshooting procedures

Safety Compliance: Ensure that all control systems meet safety standards and regulations to maintain a safe working environment

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation improvements, and implement solutions to enhance productivity and reduce costs

Required

Proficiency in Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC programming

Familiarity with electrical schematics, motor controls, and industrial communication protocols

Understanding of network fundamentals

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred

Strong knowledge of HMI development, Ignition experience preferred

Database experience not required but preferred

Certification in PLC programming or industrial automation
