Responsibilities
Responsible for overseeing and being the primary point of ownership for the introduction and end-to-end product lifecycle of new Managed Services (MS) offers and capabilities to support various HPE and HPE GreenLake products and services. These enable HPE to position a cloud-like service experience - whereby technology solution and platforms are provided as managed services that customers can use to deploy their required functionality for running their IT workloads on
You will manage complex MS service introductions following – and contributing to the further development of - defined processes, governance, and best practices
You will lead the MS activities supporting:
New HPE GreenLake ‘as-a-service’ service introduction projects. HPE GreenLake service introductions can range from the introduction of a new technology to the HPE GreenLake family to strategic development of end-to-end solutions encompassing various HPE products and services, where MS plays a critical and major role in providing the ‘managed for you’ attribute of the service being developed. Representing MS within these strategic HPE GreenLake service introductions, you will work with the broader core solution team to ensure the MS component of the service is properly defined, incorporated into the service and associated business processes, and that the delivery organisation is ready to deliver
Within both categories, you will lead a cross-functional team to develop and enable the MS service. This encompasses:
Managing the activities of supporting project teams and internal partners; ensuring progress against established plans and making decisions based on the available information to alter or update schedules and resources meet product requirements and development schedule
Service definition – ensuring the MS service is properly scoped and defined to deliver the required customer outcome
Delivery readiness – working with delivery readiness leads to ensure the right people, processes and tools are in place and prepared to deliver against the service definition
Pricing and business process alignment – working with GL and MS pricing and process leads to ensure that MS costs and prices are properly accounted for, and that order booking processes include MS services in a compliant manner
Materials and documentation – leading or contributing to the development of documents such as datasheet, Statement of Work, sales presentations, etc. that are required to position and transact the service with customers
Sales awareness – contributing to sales and marketing activities to drive awareness and traction of the new service within HPE sales teams
Ongoing lifecycle management – through the life of the service you will retain product management ownership of the service, answering any questions as they arise, dealing with any changes of requirements or circumstances, ensuring the service continues to meet customer expectations
Gather program lessons learned, feeding back into the teams & processes for future improvements
You will also drive specific initiatives to implement and improve MS products or product management processes and practices, or address particular questions or issues as they arise. These projects are difficult to anticipate in terms of frequency, time required and subject matter, but are usually important in nature and of a high priority
