Transcat is a leading calibration and compliance services provider in North America, seeking a Calibration Technician I to join their team. This entry-level position involves learning calibration fundamentals and performing calibration work in various disciplines under supervision.

Responsibilities

Work with other technicians within the lab to learn calibration fundamentals, which can include measurement, temperature, electronics, etc

Identify and utilize appropriate measurement techniques

Maintain calibration standards

Working knowledge and competency in at least three 3 disciplines (dimensional, electrical, torque, temperature, pressure, etc.)

Perform calibration work within a laboratory setting and/or while supervised at a customer on-site

Fulfill duties safely under working conditions, in keeping with Company requirements and standards

Other duties as assigned

Travel requirement: 25-50% of work schedule

Required

Successful completion of assigned training materials through on-the-job training, online content, LMS, and classroom led instruction

Strong interpersonal and customer service skills

Excellent attention to detail

Self-motivated learner with the ability to learn new skills related to calibration and calibration processes

Ability to take direction and learn from feedback

Ability to communicate well with supervisor, solve problems effectively, and work both independently and as part of a team

3+ years driving experience with a valid driver's license and acceptable driver history

Associates degree from college or technical school; or at least one (1) year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
