Director/ExecutiveIron County School District is seeking an Executive Director of Schools to lead the SUCCESS Academy. The role involves managing daily operations, instructional leadership, and compliance with state laws while focusing on student achievement and community engagement.
Education Management
Responsibilities
Sets the tone, develops/implements the Charter's improvement plans, and ensures alignment with the charter's goals (innovation, choice)
Evaluates educational programs, teachers, and student progress using data; ensures quality instruction and interventions
Supervises, evaluates, trains, and supports all staff, including handling discipline and development
Cultivates a positive, safe environment in both locations; handles student discipline/support; communicates with parents; builds community ties
Manages budgets, oversees School LAND Trust funds, ensures compliance, and assists with fundraising
Ensures adherence to state/federal laws (IDEA, etc.), charter agreement, and reporting requirements
Inspires trust and mutual respect, demonstrating confidence, optimism, and the highest standards of integrity
Embraces a collaborative governance model while working closely with the Board of Trustees and the Iron and Washington County School Districts
Formulates applicable policies and procedures
Plans and conducts training
Plans and oversees all SUCCESS Academy programs
Oversees the district participation in large-scale assessment activities. Devises and directs use of records, reports, and other materials essential to program
Participates in state and district level coordination, evaluation, review, and development committees
Conducts and approves research studies
Evaluates assigned programs to ensure that objectives for student education are met
Prepares budget, monitors expenditures, and solicits funds to provide financial support for programs
Contracts with agencies for needed services
Oversees Concurrent Enrollment, CTE and AP programs
Initiates and maintains effective liaison with state, other school districts to keep abreast of new educational developments and ideas
Qualification
Required
Experience in managing daily operations and instructional leadership in an educational setting
Knowledge of Charter finances and compliance with state laws (IDEA, SpEd)
Ability to foster a positive culture through strategic planning and community engagement
Experience in curriculum oversight and teacher evaluation
Skills in budget control and financial management
Strong communication skills for parent communication and community ties
Ability to ensure adherence to the school's mission and charter agreement
Experience in supervising, evaluating, training, and supporting staff
Ability to cultivate a positive, safe environment for students
Experience in managing budgets and overseeing School LAND Trust funds
Knowledge of compliance with state/federal laws and reporting requirements
Ability to inspire trust and mutual respect among staff and community
