Associate Attorney – Foreclosure Practice

Responsibilities

Draft, review, and finalize pleadings, motions, and other foreclosure-related filings to ensure accuracy and compliance with state and federal regulations
Handle all stages of foreclosure proceedings, including contested cases, litigation, and post-judgment actions
Advocate for clients during mediations, hearings, and depositions—both virtually and in person—while maintaining a professional and persuasive presence
Conduct thorough reviews of title histories, property records, and supporting documentation to identify and resolve discrepancies
Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing timely updates, strategic advice, and clear explanations of case progress
Work closely with paralegals, support staff, and fellow attorneys to ensure efficient case flow and adherence to firm standards
Stay current on foreclosure laws, court procedures, and regulatory changes to mitigate risk and maintain compliance
Participate in firm initiatives, process improvements, and other assignments as needed

Required

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school; active membership in good standing with the Maine Bar

Commitment to client service and ethical practice
Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment
Proactive approach to problem-solving and case management

Preferred

Prior exposure to foreclosure, real estate, or litigation is preferred, but strong candidates with transferable skills will be considered
