Entry, Mid LevelIris Software Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer for multiple positions at one of the largest Financial/insurance companies. The role involves developing scalable applications and microservices, ensuring quality through testing, and collaborating within Agile teams.

Responsibilities
Develop scalable applications using Java, JavaScript, React, and Spring Boot
Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices
Integrate front-end components with backend APIs and databases
Participate in Agile ceremonies and cross-functional collaboration
Ensure quality through unit testing and code reviews
Design and implement microservices using Java, Spring Boot, or Node.js
Manage data exchange between services and cloud data stores
Work closely with front-end and data teams on integration points
Qualification
Required
Languages: Java, JavaScript, Python
Frameworks: React (primary), Angular (for migration), Spring Boot / Spring Batch
Databases: Relational (DB2, Oracle) and Non-relational (DynamoDB, DocumentDB)
Expected 50/50 split between front-end and back-end proficiency
AWS familiarity: Lambda, EventBridge, Kinesis, SNS/SQS, CloudWatch
Proficiency in Java or Node.js
Cloud-native development on AWS
Knowledge of REST APIs, message queues, and event-driven design
Preferred
Experience with agentic frameworks and AI-driven development tools is a major plus [Claude Code, GitHub Copilot etc]
