Field Service Rep

Responsibilities

Provide on-site technical direction for operation, maintenance, repair, logistics, and installation of GE products, with emphasis on the R391 Composite Propeller System
Perform intermediate- and depot-level maintenance; execute hands-on repairs and inspections on composite propeller systems and related components
Interpret and apply technical data, service bulletins, and maintenance manuals; provide clear guidance to customer personnel
Coordinate with Project Engineering, Program Management, Product Support, and Field Services to report program status, failures, trends, risks, and opportunities in a timely manner
Prepare required reports; capture and communicate significant market intelligence and sales opportunities for assigned programs and support activities
Assist customers in maintenance planning, scheduling, and workload balancing to meet operational commitments
Track parts and material status; help ensure parts availability aligns with established maintenance schedules
Make data-driven recommendations on findings; support root cause analysis and corrective actions
Review effectiveness of maintenance actions; identify training gaps and support delivery of targeted training
Anticipate requirements beyond immediate issues and help implement actions to satisfy those needs
Collaborate with the UK services team on civil customer support activities and cross-site coordination
Maintain rigorous adherence to EHS, quality, and compliance standards

Required

High school diploma or GED with significant field maintenance experience; or associate degree/apprenticeship/certification in a relevant technical discipline
Hands-on experience performing maintenance on aircraft propeller systems or related rotating composite components (e.g., hubs, blades, pitch control, de-ice, and associated systems)
Ability to interpret and apply technical data, drawings, and maintenance manuals
Demonstrated experience coordinating maintenance plans, parts, and logistics in an operational environment
Strong communication skills with the ability to interface effectively with customers and cross-functional teams
Ability to travel up to 30% as business needs dictate
Must be able to work 1st shift and meet site/customer EHS and quality requirements

Preferred

Experience with the R391 (C-130) Composite Propeller System or closely related propeller platforms
Prior Field Service or on-site customer support experience
Background in root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement
Familiarity with military and/or civil aviation maintenance environments and regulations
Strong problem-solving, organization, and reporting skills
Comfort working independently with sound judgment within defined parameters
