2+ years expSoTalent is seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to join their team dedicated to elevating supplier performance and product quality. In this role, you will work closely with manufacturing partners and internal engineering teams to ensure compliance with specifications and support quality assurance activities.

Responsibilities
Review and approve supplier First Article Inspection submissions, confirming alignment with drawings, requirements, and purchase order details
Conduct product release activities, including audits and Source Inspection visits at supplier or company sites
Train suppliers on internal quality systems, documentation expectations, and process requirements
Assist in evaluating supplier processes and identifying risks; support APQP tasks such as PFMEA, Control Plans, and PPAP deliverables
Help drive root cause and corrective action activities related to nonconformances, quality notifications, and corrective action requests
Support containment and correction efforts for supplier-driven quality issues
Ensure adherence to quality system procedures and support both internal and external audits
Contribute to initiatives that improve internal SQE processes, performance metrics, productivity, and First Pass Yield on FAIs
Travel to suppliers and company facilities as needed
Meet physical job requirements (vision evaluation, occasional lifting up to 20 lbs, and extended periods of standing or walking)
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a technical field
At least 2 years of experience in engineering, quality, or manufacturing
In accordance with U.S. export control regulations, applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or individuals with granted asylum or refugee status
Preferred
Strong teamwork mindset and eagerness to grow through guidance and mentorship
High attention to detail and interest in structured problem-solving
Comfortable adjusting to shifting priorities and maintaining accountability for assigned tasks
Effective communication abilities
Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering (preferred)
Experience in aerospace manufacturing or electronic/mechanical component production
Knowledge of GD&T and inspection processes
Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, NADCAP, APQP, and PPAP frameworks
Proficient with Microsoft Office tools
Understanding of Lean or Six Sigma concepts (a plus)
