Senior Antenna Product Engineer

General Motors is advancing the next generation of connected vehicle platforms, and they are seeking a Senior Antenna Product Engineer who excels in product execution, supplier delivery, and lifecycle ownership. This role is responsible for taking antenna systems from concept through validation, launch, and production, ensuring performance, quality, cost, and timing targets are met across the full vehicle lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Drive execution to meet program milestones, prototype/vehicle builds, and launch readiness
Ensure antenna systems meet functional, performance, cost, weight, and quality targets
Lead DV / PV execution, PPAP readiness, and production approval
Own and manage contract manufacturer deliverables across DVP&R, DFMEA, PFMEA, Mechanical Dynamic/Static Analysis, Interface Matrices, and quality documentation
Lead issue resolution across suppliers, manufacturing, and vehicle integration teams
Serve as guide for product development, working closely with in house design technology teams
Support on site manufacturing builds at contract manufacturer as well as vehicle assembly plants
Support SMT assembly and partner with manufacturing plants for line bring-up and EOL testing
Drive design-for-manufacturing (DFM) and resolve build issues quickly
Author/Lead DV/PV validation plans and ensure completion of environmental, EMC, RF, and vehicle-level testing
Support vehicle testing (anechoic chamber, outdoor range, bench testing as required)
Review test results, identify risks, and drive corrective actions
Coordinate cross-functional teams and support prototype builds and engineering sign-offs
Ensure compatibility across module interfaces, harnessing, mounting, and packaging
Lead engineering changes and cost initiatives, including verification, tracking, and sourcing decisions
Document lessons learned and drive continuous improvement across programs

Required

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
5+ years of automotive product development experience, owning components from concept to production
Demonstrated experience executing DV/PV plans, PPAP, and production launches
Proven ability to lead supplier execution and manage technical deliverables
Strong working knowledge of DFMEA / PFMEA, DVP&R, quality and validation processes
Experience working within structured automotive product development systems (e.g., GPDS-like environments)
Strong communication skills with the ability to drive decisions across technical and non-technical teams

Preferred

Hands-on exposure to vehicle-level testing (chambers, ranges, DV/PV builds)
Experience working directly with manufacturing plants and EOL test development
Experience supporting change control and issue resolution under tight program timing
Cost, weight, and investment target ownership
Use Jira (or similar) to track tasks, manage priorities, and communicate status
Familiarity with OEM-supplier execution models
Experience owning automotive antenna systems (AM/FM/DAB, GNSS, Cellular, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Satellite Radio, C-V2X)
Ability to review (not necessarily create) RF simulation outputs (HFSS or equivalent)
