Responsibilities
Other duties and projects, as assigned
Identify customer requirements to generate quotes tailored to their shipping needs
Provide accurate information regarding multiple services and solutions offered by ArcBest
Schedule pickup requests and submit rate corrections
Handle a large volume of interactions through multiple channels including phone, email, and chat
Provide tracking updates and communicate delivery modifications
Maintain effective lines of communication with internal and external customers
Create bills of lading (BOL's) and provide shipment-specific documentation
Use multiple systems and programs in support of customer needs and expectations
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a college degree
Proficient understanding of PC and mainframe computer applications, including Microsoft Office programs, required
Superior customer service skills
Efficient utilization of resources including effective customer, service center, and field communication
Ability to handle a large volume of interactions through multiple channels including phone, email, and chat
Ability to maintain effective lines of communication with internal and external customers
Ability to create bills of lading (BOL's) and provide shipment-specific documentation
Ability to use multiple systems and programs in support of customer needs and expectations
