2026 Summer Intern - Public Affairs & Access: US Policy and Evidence
Genentech is a leading biotechnology company, and they are seeking a Summer Intern for their Public Affairs & Access team. The intern will support the analysis and development of policy solutions to enhance patient access and affordability, while gaining valuable experience in policymaking and advocacy.

Responsibilities
Analyze federal and state policy proposals for business impact and draft related memos
Support the development of proactive policy solutions to improve patient access to innovative medicines
Support government affairs and advocacy team projects, events, and other activities, as needed
Collaborate with cross-functional business teams to better understand business operations and the impact to the business of policy proposals
Develop valuable skills, network, gain exposure to policymaking and advocacy
Qualification
Required
Must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree or must have attained a Bachelor's degree (recent graduates not currently enrolled in a grad program)
Must be pursuing a Master's degree or must have attained a Master's degree
Must be pursuing a PhD
Strong analytical, writing, interpersonal, attention-to-detail, and communication skills
Interest in health policy, legislation, and government affairs (through coursework, personal experience, volunteer work, or other activities)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to multitask and work independently
Preferred
Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
