Responsibilities

Develops, facilitates, and documents all preventative maintenance

Educates employees on the optimal operation of equipment to maximize operation and minimize repairs. Acts as a mentor to other technicians

Repairs or coordinates the repair of Radiology equipment

Maintains all equipment identification information and service records

Serves on equipment acquisition teams and advises managers on equipment and parts purchases

Maintains second source part contacts and uses this approach whenever possible

Maintains necessary parts and supply inventory

Qualification

Biomedical engineeringImaging modalities experienceX-rayDigital imagingField service engineeringRadiology Equipment Specialist

Required

Associate's Degree or equivalent in biomedical engineering or a related field

Experience working with imaging modalities

Formal fundamental training in basic x-ray and digital imaging

Willing to work in an on-call rotation

Preferred

Bachelor's Degree in engineering, management, computer science or healthcare administration

1 year of relevant experience as field service engineer or a related field

CRT - Radiology Equipment Specialist, Certified (CRES)
