Cardio-Vascular Billing Analyst
Penn Medicine Doylestown Health is seeking a Cardio-Vascular Billing Analyst to ensure accurate and timely billing for cardio-vascular services. The role involves coordinating the charging process, collaborating with inventory and billing departments, and participating in quality initiatives to enhance patient care and billing accuracy.

Responsibilities
Through detailed analysis of documentation of outpatient medical records assign billing codes applicable to procedure performed in all areas of department
Assist with Anesthesia billing for services provided in Cath-EP-Vascular-Recovery areas
Coordination of the charging process to ensure accurate and timely Cardio-Vascular Billing
Coordinates with Inventory coordinators inventory of EP patient issued products and tracking
Communicate in effective manner to achieve excellence in patient care
Actively participates in and supports departmental and organizational quality initiatives and goals
Collaborates with billing department on establishing appropriate charges for items and entering them into Meditech
Communicates charge changes to all parties involved
Collaborates with HIS to ensure that proper documentation is in place
Ensures remediation of any billing or documentation discrepancies by engaging Associates and surgeons
Establishes system and process that monitors billing accuracy
Some knowledge of CPT
Demonstrates ability to utilize computer for interdepartmental communication and department-specific needs to include order entry
Access to Material management to assist with Cost accounting for accurate pricing
Inquiries and data retrieval
Ensuring Correct information is in Maclab for billing
Accurate and timely billing for procedures
Coordination and Maintenance of Inventory
Collaborate with Inventory Coordinators to ensure EP device components are issued out to patients based on sticker sheets
Make Patient stent cards for patients post procedure missing or lost
Collaborates with finance/cost accounting when creating and maintain inventory System
Maintain monthly spreadsheets For EP Device compliance and Ablation tracking
Update billing cost accounting sheets
Assist with Device billing by creating a PO and then depleting it in materials management once device is billed
Receives patient chart on discharge
Disinfects phones, computer keyboards end of shift
Adopts and practices safe work habits, life safety policies and procedures, and acts within Security guidelines always
Promotes and supports change for progress by contributing to continual improvement and growth of hospital's excellence through participation in committees, in-services
Seeks to continually improve cost effectiveness and safety via quality management of time, systems, equipment and materials
Evaluates practice of self and others through participation in quality assessment and performance improvement activities
When indicated, follows through on actions for problem resolution, performance improvement and practice improvement in accordance with professional, ethical, department and quality standards
Identifies professional goals, which reflect own strengths and weaknesses and seeks assistance for improvement of performance
Attends and participates in meetings/committees
Supports and participates in department, hospital and evidence based care quality initiatives including core measures
Demonstrates effort to keep informed and/or provide input to department
Utilizes skills to organize and prioritize tasks in an environment with multiple external stimuli and demands
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree in finance, information management, business or logistics
At least 2 years of experience in healthcare
Excellent communication skills required
Extensive working knowledge of computer systems
Extensive working Knowledge of data collection and statistics
Knowledge of billing and coding
Preferred
Experience in billing and Cardiovascular and Vascular services preferred
