Bolger is a 90-year-old, third-generation, family-owned business in the print industry. They are seeking a detail-oriented Press Feeder to ensure the efficient operation of printing presses by preparing materials, monitoring production, and maintaining quality standards.

Responsibilities

Material Preparation: Prepare printing materials, including paper, inks, and other substrates, ensuring that all are properly loaded and ready for printing
Feeding Operations: Operate feeding equipment to load paper and other materials into the printing press accurately and in a timely manner
Monitoring Production: Continuously monitor the printing process to ensure that materials are fed smoothly and identify any issues that may arise during printing
Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks on printed materials to ensure they meet company standards and specifications. Report any quality issues to the press operator and take corrective actions as necessary
Maintenance Support: Assist in the routine maintenance of printing equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime
Collaboration: Work closely with press operators, supervisors, and other team members to ensure seamless production workflows and achieve production targets
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines in the workplace to maintain a safe working environment

Required

High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in printing technology is a plus
Previous experience in a printing or manufacturing environment preferred
Familiarity with printing processes and machinery is advantageous
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain quality standards
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Willingness to work flexible hours, including possible overtime or weekends
Ability to lift and move heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) as needed
Stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
Use of hand tools and equipment safely and effectively

Preferred

Previous experience in a printing or manufacturing environment preferred
Familiarity with printing processes and machinery is advantageous
