HRIS Manager

Responsibilities
Own and guide the long-term HRIS and ERP roadmap, ensuring alignment with university goals
Drive system innovation, prioritize work, and lead continuous improvement initiatives
Oversee system architecture, integrations, security roles, and business processes across HR and payroll
Serve as the primary escalation point for complex system issues and ensure reliable, secure operations
Manage and mentor senior analysts, professional staff, and student employees
Establish performance metrics, governance practices, and work management frameworks that promote excellence and growth
Act as the primary HRIS liaison with executive leaders and campus partners
Translate technical concepts into clear business value and foster strong cross-campus collaboration
Lead Agile practices, release management, testing, and change initiatives
Evaluate and improve business processes to enhance system adoption and effectiveness
Oversee vendor relationships and evaluate new technologies to ensure BYU remains at the forefront of HRIS best practices
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
10+ years of progressively responsible HRIS, HR technology, or ERP system administration experience
Demonstrated experience leading enterprise system functions, technical architecture, integrations, and security
Strong project management skills, including Agile methodology experience
Proven executive-level communication and stakeholder management skills
Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints must hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend
Preferred
Master's degree in Information Systems, Business, or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
Professional certifications (e.g., SHRM-SCP, PHR, Workday Pro, PMP)
Experience in higher education or large, complex organizations
