The Design Engineer I – Site Civil role offers early-career engineers the chance to work on impactful site development projects, providing hands-on experience in planning, design, and project execution.

Responsibilities
Support site development planning and design for private and public projects, including stormwater management, water/wastewater systems, roadway and parking lot layouts, grading, erosion and sediment control, and construction detailing/specifications
Prepare engineering calculations, analyses, reports, and spreadsheets to support design deliverables
Develop detailed design documents and construction plans in coordination with the project team
Assist with permitting processes for commercial, residential, and industrial site development projects
Collect, organize, and prepare field data, inventories, and assessments for evaluation
Participate in proposal development and preparation of professional services scopes
Support projects from feasibility through final plan preparation, including site and field visits during design and construction
Use computer-assisted engineering software and tools (AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred) to complete design tasks
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
Engineer-in-Training (EI) certification required or the ability to obtain within 6 months
1 years of experience in civil/site design; new graduates with intern experience are encouraged to apply
Strong analytical, technical writing, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate effectively with clients, project teams, and colleagues
Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work both independently and in a team environment
Preferred
Strong CAD design skills in AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred
Knowledge of HydroCAD or HydroFlow stormwater modeling software a plus
Surveying experience helpful but not required
