Software Engineer Intern, Antenna Systems
Viasat is a global communications company on a mission to deliver connections with the capacity to change the world. They are seeking a Software Engineer Intern to support the development and delivery of monitor and control software for satellite antenna systems, participating in software development using Python and various communication protocols.

Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and document device drivers
Configure and deploy ViaControl M&C software onto various hardware and antenna systems
Support internal and external customers with general questions and support in resolving issues
Work closely with the product development team to support feature development and provide feedback on system performance
Support other team members in meeting delivery timeline and resolving any issues
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher program in computer science, engineering, or related field
Final graduation date must fall between December 2026 and August 2027
Must be available to work 40 hours/week for the full duration of the internship program
U.S. citizenship is required
Strong analytical skills to approach and solve problems effectively
Ability to articulate thoughts clearly, both in writing and verbally, to collaborate with other team members
Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing environments
Experience working in Python
Knowledge of various communication protocols including TCP, SNMP, and REST
Preferred
Hands-on development experience with Python
Experience with Ansible
Knowledge of LINUX OS platform, preferably RedHat or Centos
