Hersheypark Leadership Development Intern - Level 2
Visit Hershey & Harrisburg is seeking a Hersheypark Leadership Development Intern (Level 2) to provide on-the-job leadership experience and participate in Professional Development opportunities. The role involves supervising staff, training employees, maintaining guest service standards, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities
Supervising part-time staff and assisting in overseeing daily operations
Training employees to ensure that they are capable of interacting appropriately with guests and that they have the information needed to answer questions
Placing employees for their location at appropriate positions and ensuring that employees have the proper breaks, supplies and other operational items needed throughout their shifts
Ensuring strict adherence to Child Labor Laws and reporting any potential violations to their direct Supervisors
Providing recommendations regarding disciplinary action and participation in coaching employees
Perform day-to-day operational job duties as needed
Acting as a liaison to department management; observe and report on all issues or concerns that arise day to day. Provide feedback to management so they can implement solutions
Maintaining guest service and hospitality standards through interaction with guests and monitoring employees. Ensuring proper execution of all service standards set by management. Responding to guest questions and directing them to the appropriate source of information
Monitoring and enforcing health, safety, and sanitation standards
Participate in a Professional Development Series
Qualification
Required
Must be 18 years of age or older
This internship is open to college students and recent graduates
Must meet one of the following criteria: Completed HP Leadership Development Level 1 Program, Must be in good standing with Hershey Entertainment and Resorts, Worked a minimum of one season experience as a red tag (Asst Team Leader) at the Hersheypark Entertainment Complex
Certain positions will be required to complete pre-employment drug testing
Ability to obtain department-required certifications, including but not limited to; Ellis & Associates lifeguard certification, RAMP certification, ServSafe, etc. based on department placement
Must be friendly, upbeat, work well with other employees, and be able to interact with guests
Ability to communicate professionally and effectively
Must display a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and professional image in compliance with Hershey Entertainment & Resorts
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Must embody Hershey Entertainment & Resorts core values (Devoted to the Legacy, Selfless Spirit of Service, Team Focused, and Respectful of Others)
Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated to perform all aspects of the job at all times
Must be able to work a minimum of five (5) closing shifts and at least 40 hours per week during May, June, July and August
Must be able to work in a combination of indoor and outdoor weather conditions. Employees are subject to a variety of weather conditions, including but not limited to: extreme heat, sun exposure, cold, and inclement weather
Physical requirements include the ability to stand for up to eight hours at a time, walk, bend at the waist and knees and have repeated manual dexterity, and the ability to push, pull, and reach above shoulder level, and lift up to twenty (20) pounds without assistance
