Auto Casualty Claims Supervisor

The Auto Casualty Claims Supervisor will oversee Casualty Claims Specialists, ensuring claims are handled within best practices and compliance with state regulations while delivering superior service to customers.

Responsibilities

Supervise, mentor, and coach a team of casualty claims adjusters
Monitor workloads, set performance goals, and conduct regular performance evaluations
Identify training needs and coordinate ongoing professional development
Oversee the handling of complex and high-exposure casualty claims including bodily injury, UM/UIM, and litigated claims
Review and approve claim reserves, settlements, and payments within authority
Ensure timely and accurate claim investigations and documentation
Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines
Conduct quality file audits and provide feedback for improvement
Address complaints or escalated claim issues with professionalism and urgency
Analyze trends, metrics, and performance data to drive efficiency and improve customer outcomes
Participate in developing and implementing best practices, process improvements, and strategic initiatives
Work closely with other departments including legal, underwriting, and customer service
Represent the company in mediations, settlement conferences, or other proceedings as needed

Required

Texas resident Adjuster's License
At least 2-years supervising adjusters handling bodily injury liability claims
Experience handling represented and unrepresented injured claimants
Superior customer service skills coupled with an honest desire to help customers
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to professionally communicate with internal and external customers
Willingness to be heavily involved in claim files, and provide meaningful direction to staff
Experience in overseeing performance management and staff development
Capacity to identify root cause issues related to staff performance, analyze trends related to inventory management, and implement corrective action plans when necessary
Ability to be objective and professional when involved in conflict resolution with customers and staff
Good judgment, initiative, and problem-solving abilities
Full understanding of, and ability to apply, comparative negligence
Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills
Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet assigned goals, objectives, and deadlines
Proficiency with computers, including automated claims systems
Management style of leading and mentoring direct reports to help them be successful
Auto Casualty Claims Supervisory: 2 years (Required)
Ability to Commute: Dallas, TX 75234 (Required)

Preferred

Bachelor's or Associate degree
Bilingual capability (English/Spanish) is a plus
